Some french stereotype are about they are supposed to wash less often than others, to be rude (sometimes true), to drink too much wine.
Speaking of French soldiers running away at the first sign of danger, 1.4 million French soldiers were killed in WW I, out of a population of 40 million, that’s twice as many as the US in your whole history.
