Let me take you on a trip. A trip throughout The United State of America, where the only risk you will face is falling in love and wanting to move there. Lets start with its geographical location. When traveling to The United States of America, you are able to experience all types of weathers and sceneries that will leave you speechless. All kind of foods, all kind of musics, all kind of Fun Park, all kind of everthing! You will take so many amazing pictures that you’ll have trouble choosing which one’s you want to frame later, not to mention the flowers you will want to take home with you.
But, even if there are a lot of things to see, to do, and to explore, many people are not willing to go on this trip because of common misconceptions they have about The United States and the American people. They deny themselves the opportunity to see one of the most magnificent countries the world has. These common stereotypes also irritate Americans because they are tired of hearing them over and over again and having to explain how none of it is true.

These are the 40 most common misconceptions American women have to deal with everyday. I advise you to forget about these stereotypes, they do not identify The United States, give it a chance, by the way, do you agree or not? Do you any other?
But this is all true…
Hi from an American woman who does NOT fit into your list. I find our societal, familial, educational and moral decay heartbreaking. I just found your website and find it very entertaining. Well done.
My take on your list.
They’re fat. – Yes, many are. Our government allows and encourages toxins in ALL of our food, ie, MSG, Aspartame, Fluoride, Sugar, Soy lecithin, etc., while at the same time, making it difficult for us to legally grow our own healthy foods.
They’re constantly glued to their phone. – Sad but true for most of people under 35.
They cut their hair short. – Again, true. Many do.
They’re more impressed by a crappy DJ than a doctor who saves lives. – Doctors here don’t have much of a clue and think everything can be solved with whatever pill they are getting the highest kickbacks from at the time. If they can’t figure out what is wrong with you in 15 minutes, they say it’s because you’re depressed and refer you to a psychologist. Much of westernized medicine is a joke!
They think being funny and witty is a quality that men love. – When done well, these are great traits to have and many men do appreciate them in their women.
They listen to magazines like Cosmo when it comes to pleasing men. – Probably true. A lot of American women have the attention spans of gnats and a 2 minute Cosmo quiz seems to fit the bill for many women.
They don’t know how to cook. – Wrong. Many American women are fantastic cooks.
They wear flip-flops even when they’re not at the beach, pool, or in their house. – True.
They have condoms in their drawers because they expect to have random sex with strange men. – Sadly, many do.
They cannot dance. They also do not know how to sing or play basic musical instruments. – Wrong.
They idolize drug addicted celebrities, mimicking their brain-dead behaviors. – Maybe but I think it’s more forced on us by our crappy media. Instead of real news, we only get to see what the latest popstar is up to.
They acquire pets instead of putting effort into landing a quality man. – There are not that many quality men or women in America anymore. Rather than encouraging one another to become better, most just show contempt. Pets are soft and loyal.
They don’t know how to be sexy. – Nope, just trashy and lacking in morals.
They have standards way beyond their level of attractiveness. – Agreed for many.
They think having a good job means they’re a good catch. – Sad but true.
They wear pajamas in public. – Sad but true.
They like Twilight and The Secret. – I don’t know these people but I’m sure they exist.
Their idea of travel is going to the beach or France. – That’s not my idea of travel and most would rather go to Hawaii than France.
They have too many trashy tattoos. – Sad but true again.
They are proud to date multiple guys at the same time, as if they were men. – I think it’s more accurate to say that many jump into bed with someone on the first or second date and then want to move in together and play house. Courtship seems to be a thing of the past. Parental input is often disregarded.
They are not close to their family, and would rather die than take care of aging parents. – Horrible sad and true for many.
They say filthy things in bed when you hardly know them. – Many do.
They make lame excuses for not putting effort into their appearance. – The ones who don’t care about their appearance are too lame to even bother making excuses.
They obsess about the environment above what is reasonable, even though they pollute more than 90% of people in the world. – I disagree that many obsess and yes, we do have a lot of waste. Most everything is made to break or disposable.
They always lie by saying, “I’ve never done this before.” – A lot of lying goes on but “I’ve never done this before” is not the ‘go to’ lie.
They confuse being a challenge with being whiny and annoying. – Sad but true.
They are acne prone. – Some but not most. Horrible diets, toxic detergent bars and pollutants are hard on the skin.
They watch way too much TV. – Yes, at an alarming rate.
On their way home from work, they put on dirty sneakers that don’t match their outfit. – I have never seen anyone change their shoes on their way home.
They only dress up for special occasions, like a friend’s birthday, Presidential inauguration, or a Sex and the City movie premiere. – Wrong.
They like to age their skin prematurely through frequent tanning. – Some but not most.
They insist on eating pizza or otherwise fattening food after a night of binge drinking. – Binge drinking is not a requirement for fattening food. Many love their processed, fattening, fried, fast food like substances.
They’re obsessed with cupcakes. – I think this is a mommy-blog hype. Cupcake photos are so cute on pinterest and instagram. Most of us don’t really bake or consume cupcakes on a regular basis.
They care more about maintaining their career than a good home. – Many but thankfully, a lot of women are figuring out that they were duped by the superwoman mentality – Many are still career focused.
They rarely wear high heels. – Not true. It depends on where you live and lifestyle.
They think dining out and eating food slathered with butter and salt makes them cultured. – Yum! butter. Butter does not equate to being cultured by any means but eating margarine on anything depicts one who lacks all culture.
They don’t speak a foreign language. – About 1/2.
They are uncomfortable in their own skin. – Sad but true. We’re constantly told our bodies are not good enough and many buy into it.
They like Ikea furniture. – No. Many appreciate cheap furniture because they cannot afford quality.
They have the intellectual curiosity of a dung beetle. – This seems to be a growing trend. We have been dumbed down by design and the educational system caters to the lesser rather than raising the bar. Very sad.
